How did you meet? What was your first date like? Give us all the details!
My profile on JDate listed what I was looking for in a guy, which, after years of dating in Los Angeles, basically came down to two traits: insatiable appetite and a beard! Luckily, Rich met all those strict requirements, so we planned to meet. When he planned our first date to Versailles (he knew I was a chef and picked out an awesome casual Cuban place), I should have known right then he was the one.

The entire date, he kept looking around the restaurant and made very little eye contact. I thought for sure he wasn’t interested. Despite his lack of attention, I felt we were hitting it off. We walked home from the restaurant and I went to hug him and thank him for the lovely evening, expecting to never hear from him again. But as I went in for a hug, he came in for a kiss. I was shocked. After that first kiss, we both knew this was it! We went on a few more dates after that. He moved in to my little apartment barely two months into the relationship, and we’ve been inseparable ever since!

Describe the moment you knew it was true love!
I think I realized it was true love early on. We went on a few dates and connected on a level that I’ve never experienced before. He called to check in on me randomly. He bought me flowers for no reason. He’d surprise me on holidays and special occasions. He was eager to share his life with me. From the very beginning, Rich always made me his number one priority. Nothing has changed to this day.

What advice would you give other JDaters?
Keep on JDating! Be picky, don’t settle, know who you’re looking for and don’t sacrifice for anyone less. It may take one date (in my fiancé’s case) or it may take 100 dates (in my case), but there is someone out there for you!
