My name is Arielle and my now fiance, Eliot and I met on JDate three years ago. At that time we lived over an hour and a half away from each other but we made it work. We grew so close so fast, and we knew instantly we were meant to be. When we met it was like all stars aligned at that moment and everything was perfect. We had a short break where we realized we couldn’t live without one another and that’s when we knew we were meant to be. From that moment on, we have been inseparable, and it was as if we never were apart.

Eliot proposed in the most special and amazing way ever. On December 21, 2014 we went to see a play in NYC, ‘First Date.’ After the play we went to see the tree in Rockefeller Center and there were so many people. We walked around the tree area for about an hour to see the windows and get pictures. But Eliot wanted to go back to the tree when it was darker out for a better picture. We ran into my cousin and his girlfriend and we went to grab a drink. Once it was darker out, we went back to the tree. Once we got to the tree, there was a circle of rose petals and I was confused. Eliot then told me to stand there and he walked away. Someone started to hand me flowers and a circle formed around me. All of a sudden Eliot disappeared and comes back wearing a blazer, carrying his guitar, and surrounded by our families. He comes towards me and gets down on one knee, starts to play Bruno Mars’ ‘ Marry you,’ and proposes. It was the best day of my life! We have a video and everything. We are planning our wedding for April 18, 2015. If it was not for JDate I would never get to spend the rest of my life with my soul mate! Thank you JDate!
