How did you meet? What was your first date like? Give us all the details!
Michael messaged me after finding out I had clicked on his JDate profile. We had immediate email chemistry, and chatted and joked for a few weeks before meeting in person at a UCB comedy show followed by Thai food. He is a stand-up comedian, and I am a comedic actress – it was love at first laugh!
Describe the moment you knew it was true love:
I knew I would marry him pretty quickly, but the moment it was solid was when we were flying back from Alabama, having met his whole family. There was a shift as we sat on the plane, and I remember holding hands and putting my head on his shoulder, feeling really emotional at the love in my heart. We were married on October 11, 2015.
What advice would you give other JDaters?
It’s not easy. Dating is work. Hard work. And the best kind, because you are working towards a goal of being with someone who brings so much love, laughter and happiness into your life. Learn from the bad dates and cherish the butterflies from the good ones!
