Dear JDate,

We met in November 2003 on JDate. He was “New Yorker in Philly,” and I was “Prsavvy.” Mark lived in Southampton, Pennsylvania, and I lived in North Wales, Pennsylvania, the suburbs of Philly.

On November 18, 2003, Mark sent me an email in the form of a press release with the headline, “Great Guy Seeking Partner as He Embarks on New Venture.” I was surprised and delighted by Mark’s clever and witty approach to gaining my attention. I immediately wrote back in the form of a media alert titled “Prsavvy Blown Away by JDate Email.” And so, our dialogue began. Corresponding via email and IM quickly turned into long, in-depth and meaningful phone conversations. His warmth, caring and wit won me over… and without a doubt, we began to fall in love over the phone. And from there, it grew.

Fourteen months later, while on vacation in Cancun, Mark proposed. We married on March 24, 2005, on the beach in Sanibel, Florida (where Mark’s parents live half the year).

We are both so grateful for JDate because we truly are great for each other, but ran in very different circles. We know that we never would have met if it weren’t for JDate.
