I signed up for JDate after having hesitancy about online dating. After checking out several profiles, I came across Eric, a guy who shared a lot of the same interests as me. We both loved sports and thought this was a great way to meet someone.

In August of 2002, we decided to meet at a local restaurant for lunch and discovered we had so much in common. It was funny because we lived in the same area of town, but never met. Also, we were both over 35 years of age. Sparks flew immediately and we started dating.

By January of 2003, Eric was speaking to my parents about getting engaged. He popped the question on a beautiful Wednesday night in March of 2003. Surrounded by our family and friends, we held our wedding in New Orleans on December 6, 2003. We went on to have a beautiful, precious little boy in February of 2005.
