Dear JDate,

cont-mt-franciene-howieIt all began March 16, 2004 when Fran and Howie attempted to share a simple hello while Howie was at work. (Shhhh, don’t tell his boss.) Well, they began chatting and, after a few hours, decided that it was time to start talking on the phone. They spent several long nights talking before they made plans to meet for coffee.

Neither one of them expected it to be anything more than a friendly meeting at the local Starbucks for a quick cup of coffee. Howie was in the middle of a bitter divorce and was looking to meet people that had similar experiences. Fran had completed her divorce several months earlier.

Fran’s mom had a feeling that their meeting would be more than just coffee. She said, “Let him sleep over.” And Fran replied, “It’s just coffee…all I need is an hour.” Guess Jewish moms know best!

When Fran met Howie, her first impression was that he was gorgeous and that the photo on his profile did not do him justice. She knew he was special and that he was the most amazing man she had ever met. After coffee, they walked around town, had dinner and went to listen to music.

They really hit it off, and the one-hour meeting lasted till 4 am. They had a magical moment when they shared a first kiss that intensified their already sizzling connection. That one defining moment in time sealed their fate. It was no ordinary meeting. Their date was not merely one person clicking on another’s profile; it was destiny.

It quickly became apparent that it was going to be something more than just friendship. Within three days, they were deeply in love. Fran had dreamed of finding her prince charming and being swept off her feet. Howie had longed to have his “happily ever after” and found his princess in Fran.

Their relationship blossomed, and they started to blend their families. Howie got residential custody of his three children, and they decided it was time to move forward, like the Brady’s…

“Till the one day when the lady met this fellow, and they knew it was much more than a hunch — that this group would somehow form a family. That’s the way they all became the Brady Bunch.”

They were married on August 13, 2006.

They both went on JDate to find friends and did not expect to meet their soul mates, but they got the bonus package.

Thanks JDate for giving us the ability to meet and to start living out our fairy tale.
