How did you meet? What was your first date like? Give us all the details!
We met while I was in graduate school at the University of Miami and she was a middle school teacher at Boca Raton Middle School. I reached out to her through JDate and we decided to meet up for drinks. We met at The Cheesecake Factory in Boca Raton, even though Haylie was sick. We ordered tea and spinach and artichoke dip. After that, we started seeing each other every few days doing various activities.

Describe the moment you knew it was true love!
I think we knew it was love after we had taken a short break in order to for us to get our lives on track before getting into a serious relationship. Haylie reached out to me after a few months and we started seeing each other again and we knew we were the perfect complements to one another.

What advice would you give other JDaters?
Don’t be afraid to reach out to someone on the site. Everyone is on the site for the same reason – to find that perfect match – and if you have a common interest, it never hurts to reach out and see what happens. Don’t get discouraged if the first few matches don’t work out. Keep being proactive and eventually you will find someone!
