How did you meet? What was your first date like? Give us all the details!
We met on JDate and chatted a bit to get to know one another. We then exchanged email addresses and discussed subjects that interested us. David was interested in my opinions and asked challenging questions which led to very long and in-depth exchanges. We decided after a few months of e-mails to meet one another. It was important to both us to build a layer of trust. Our first date took place on a muggy August late afternoon. We took a nice walk on the Silver Comet Trail and chatted more about our interests. After our walk, I thought to myself, “This man is supportive and honest.” We went to dinner at a Thai restaurant and enjoyed our company but sadly, the food wasn’t the best we’d had.

Describe the moment you knew it was true love!
Wow! Well, after our first 3 dates, David and I decided to be friends. We dated other people but continued to chat and occasionally hiked, cycled, browsed the bookstores and frequented an occasional movie. When I realized that David was genuine, I knew I loved him. We began to date exclusively on Earth Day 2006. And our first kiss was nothing like we’d experienced in the past, such a heartfelt, warm and tender moment that we will never forget.

What advice would you give other JDaters?
Be yourself. Don’t change your profile to suit others. Be friends for a while, get to know one another. And, above all, give a person a chance … you never know who will be that true love.
