Dear JDate,

cont-mt-jill-stevenJill and I met on a day that is historically known for practical jokes, April Fools Day. As if that weren’t enough, April 1st, 2001 was also the day we turned our clocks ahead. It seemed as though this date had all the makings of a really good story.

I guess it was after 10 minutes of waiting on that Sunday morning for Jill, that I thought this might be a bad April Fool’s joke. Since my personality does not allow for patience, I decided to call my tardy JDate. Well, what do you know. Right after leaving a message for me at my home, she answered my phone call. It seems that Jill was one of the thousands of people that knew nothing about daylight savings time on this particular day, but fortunately, her best friend in Florida did and had called five minutes earlier. From Jill’s apologetic tone, I knew that she not only didn’t know it was daylight savings time, but that she probably also forgot it was April Fools Day. Lucky me!

From where I was sitting in the cafe that Sunday morning, I had a great eyeshot of the front door, just in case I had to make a quick getaway. Much to my pleasant surprise, in walked a VERY adorable woman holding one white rose. That woman was Jill. I knew from that moment forward this one was a keeper! That was the first time Jill had ever bought flowers for a man, and luckily for us, the last time we each had a JDate.

Since that day, we have grown very much in love and look forward to spending the rest of our lives together. I proposed my love and commitment to Jill on October 1st, 2001. We will be happily married on May 4th, 2002. We would both like to thank JDate.com for offering us to such a fantastic way for Jewish singles to meet!!

Sincerely,

Jill & Steven
