Julie and Marc met on JDate.com in December 1998, and were married on November, 4 2000. Here is how they found each other:

cont-mt-julie-marc-01Julie: I had recently ended a long-term relationship and was enjoying just “dating around” for a while. I came to the decision that it was very important for me to date someone Jewish …I came across JDate.com. I checked it out and thought it looked interesting, so I decided to give it a try. I have to admit that I was a little skeptical at first, figuring that it was unlikely that I would meet anyone I would want to be serious with through the Internet. However, I trusted my gut and went for it. Within just a few days I received numerous letters from men in the Boston area. I spoke with one guy on the phone, but decided he really didn’t seem like my type. It was then that I received an email that piqued my interest, from a guy named Marc. It was very well written, and he seemed very convincing, and also very cute.

Marc: I was on vacation in Florida on vacation when Julie first responded to my letter. We wrote for the entire week. When I got home, I asked her if she wanted to get together for a quick bite. I must admit, I was quite nervous. We went out to a Mexican place not too far away, talking the entire way there. We ate burritos, had a good time. …I actually mis-stepped, fell to the ground and sprained my ankle. Julie, being a physical therapist, tended to my swollen ankle…she was so sweet and caring, in addition to being attractive, that I knew good things were going to come. And the rest is history. The following cont-mt-julie-marc-02August we moved in together, and got engaged New Year’s Eve…with thirty seconds left in the Millennium… “Julie will you spend the next Millennium with me?” She happily agreed, and we are now in the midst of planning our November 4, 2000 wedding. And to think Julie was skeptical about using JDate.com. J We couldn’t be happier. Thanks again JDate.com for putting us together.
