Dear JDate,

Lilly and I met on JDate in 2004. Her boss had signed her up, and unbeknownst to me, her friend Patty was the one who found me and emailed me back and forth several times.

In June 2005, we finally spoke on the phone, but the timing wasn’t right. Finally, we met in November 2005 and after two weeks, I knew that one day I was going to marry Lilly. She was shy, sweet, kind, compassionate, and she loved her family and they loved her very much.

We were married on September 8th, 2007, and had a beautiful wedding at the Lighthouse Point Yacht Club, in South Florida. For our honeymoon we took a two-week vacation and cruise from Canada to Alaska. It was an amazing time!

Thank you JDate, you made it possible that somehow a Canadian and a Cuban could find each other in Florida, fall in love, and live happily ever after.
