Dear JDate,

Well, I was actually on JDate for only about two weeks and the first woman that I dated, I proposed to about nine months later! Unfortunately, she had been on several dates prior to meeting me, but that just goes to show you that good things come to those who wait.

As luck would have it, my name happens to be Alan and my fiancé’s father’s name is also Alan. If that wasn’t weird enough, my fiancé’s name is Lindsay and my sister’s name is Lindsey as well – and they are the same age! I guess some things are just meant to be.

We both claim to this day that we were right for each other from the start. Our families get along so well, and both of our mothers have told us that we are so lucky to have such great mother-in-laws!

We both live in Chicago. I was born there and Lindsay wound up staying after school. She is originally from New York, where her parents and most of her family still reside. We are getting married on June 20, 2009 at a huge New York wedding!
