Phil and I met thanks to our parents; they separately thought it would be a great idea for each of us to join JDate.

During the summer of 2011, I joined JDate and went on several unsuccessful dates – of course, that is, until I met Phil. I was Phil’s first “JDate,” so I guess you can say he batted a 1000!

Our first date was at the 72nd Street Boat Basin. It was a beautiful night and neither of us wanted it to end. After the employees finally kicked us out of the boat basin, we walked around the Upper West Side, talking and getting to know each other. After that night, we couldn’t wait for our next date!

For our second date, Phil and I enjoyed a romantic Italian dinner (he was getting on my good side) and then we went for martinis. Again, neither of us wanted the date to end. From that night on, we both knew this was something special. We spent almost every day with each other and moved in together eight months later.
