Our dreams turned into reality one late evening in May 2010. We chatted for a while online and eventually made plans to meet for drinks at a neighborhood bar. We were both a bit tired of going on countless first dates, but I think we both knew from the start this was different and a genuine connection was made.

After a few weeks of casual dating, we actually took a short break, since I was traveling a lot for work and my focus wasn’t entirely on dating, let alone starting a new relationship. We became the best of friends over the next month, and then picked up right where we left off in August 2010, fell madly in love with each other, and began this amazing journey.

Kevin was unlike any other person I had ever met. He was honest, genuine, respectful and still to this day, makes me feel incredibly loved and ridiculously happy. We have SO much fun, whether it’s running 10k races, hiking, eating cupcakes, or watching reality TV – most importantly we love being together, and truly have an amazing life together. I knew it was meant to be when he won over my incredible dog, Elsie, who also fell in love with him, and became her best friend!

In August of 2012, while on vacation in San Francisco, Kevin planned a hike one gorgeous morning at Land’s End. At the edge of a cliff, he stopped, told me he loved me and wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!

We began planning the wedding immediately, and were married 8 months later in Woodland Hills, California in an intimate, beautiful outdoor ceremony with our family and closest friends. As noted by our amazing rabbi, we had giddy smiles across our faces throughout the entire chuppah ceremony. We were thrilled to become husband and wife!

After our incredibly magical wedding, we left for Maui and had the time of our lives, zip-lining, hiking, snorkeling, scuba diving, eating dessert, soaking up the sun and, most importantly, enjoying being together, celebrating our marriage.

We both know how lucky we are to have each other, and we are so excited to continue building our life together. Thank you, JDate, for helping two soul mates find each other online that one late night in May!
