Dear JDate

Charles’ story: I’m Charles Shapiro, and my fiance is Margie Leviten. And hey, this stuff works. I never expected to meet the woman of my dreams on JDate.com, but I did. When we met, I had been using JDate.com for a while and had met some women that have become wonderful friends. Margie had met some other people through JDate.com too, but we just clicked. When she read my profile, she realized that we had similar attitudes and values. When I read hers, I knew I wanted to meet her. She liked my ad and picture but didn’t send me an e-mail right away, because she was afraid that I would think she was too old (she’s 43, I’m 38). She finally sent it. We e-mailed and talked several times that week… and set a date for that Saturday: just a walk in the park with my dog, Samson and me. It was absolutely love at first sight when we met. And we have been inseparable since. We’re engaged to be married with the date scheduled for Sept. 2001.
