Melissa and I first met on JDate in February 2013 through the site’s “Secret Admirer” game. Melissa “Secretly Admired” me after I had already done so for her – that’s when we started talking.

We had our first date in Boston within a week, and felt an instant connection and attraction to each other. Just before our four-month anniversary, Melissa was heading off to Israel for a Birthright trip. I went with her to New York, saying I was taking her for a birthday dinner (which would be during her trip). I proposed to her during that dinner at the restaurant and she said yes!
