I initially found Eric’s profile and sent him one of the pre-written message options known as a Flirt. I believe the Flirt said, “Message Me, 9 out of 10 moms approve.” Eric’s first response was, “What about the 10th mom?” I had a feeling he’d be funny, and sense of humor was extremely important to me in a potential partner. So, I decided to pursue the connection.

Our initial emails were brief, but once we determined that we had a lot in common, we decided to go on a date in January 2010. It was the best, and last, first date of our lives. Eric proposed 13 months later, and we were married on May 19, 2012.

We were skeptics when we first joined JDate and neither of us had tried online dating previously. We are so grateful though that we followed the advice of friends and family and signed up! The results were even better than we could we could have hoped for.
