I signed up for JDate and was a habitual dater through the site. I had the best time throughout the process. I’d go out on dates Monday through Thursday, and sometimes on Sundays, but never during my girls’ nights, which were on Friday and Saturday evenings. I would sometimes accept two dates a night, and met so many great guys. I did not have one ‘creepy’ story, but I just hadn’t felt any chemistry with anyone yet. I went on approximately 65 dates via JDate – all of the guys I dated were gentlemanly, handsome and truly stand-up guys. There was just never that spark for me…until I went on a date (against my own rules) on a Friday night. It was October 15th, 2010, and I was getting all dolled up for what I thought would be just another date. Boy, was I wrong!

Joshua and I went to dinner on our first date, and then had after-dinner drinks at the restaurant, followed by a drink at another location, which was followed by some dancing, and then he waited for me outside of my apartment while I grabbed my puppy to take her for a walk, which he then joined us for. We talked, and talked, and talked. We were sharing our JDate experiences – 65 dates for me and 1 for him, being me.

The night began at 7:30pm and ended at 4:30am. I got home to my apartment and gushed to my roommate, telling her that he was ‘The One!’ I called my mom first thing in the morning and told her the same. Little did I know at the time, Joshua called his mom the next morning to tell her the same news.

Three years later, Joshua and I are married and expecting a baby in March! JDate made all of our dreams come true, and I could not be more blessed.
