How did you meet? What was your first date like? Give us all the details!
Valerie was intrigued by my JDate profile because I stated I was a rocket scientist. She thought what chutzpah this guy had to brag about something so patently untrue! Yet, I actually was a rocket scientist and we hit it off online before arranging a date in real life.

Our first date was marked by the waiter mistakenly giving us two desserts. We had arranged a second date for the next weekend during the Super Bowl. Valerie would later joke that I was a “project,” wearing jeans that didn’t quite fit and a weird haircut on that first date, but that she saw potential – so much potential, apparently, that she called me a few days before our second date to say she had nothing to do that evening and we should hang out. From then on, we were inseparable, as we would text each other non-stop and quickly convene at each other’s places if the dreaded “I’m bored” was uttered.

Describe the moment you knew it was true love!
I knew it was true love when we were cuddling on the couch and I felt overwhelming joy in my heart out of nowhere. We were watching a crummy show on TV, but I couldn’t have been happier. I turned to her and told her those three little words and she grinned widely. To this day, I can just glance at Val and feel that same joy.

What advice would you give other JDaters?
Keep at it. We both had gone on many dates with other people from JDate and none of them panned out – until we did!
