Since smart-phones have integrated themselves into our daily lives, we may as well use apps to improve our love lives! It’s so easy to have everything right on your cell phone anyway, so why not use technology to service your heart? What follows are 12 apps in 7 different dating areas that may just make your dating life better and easier!

  1. Dining Out

Singles often tell me that dating is a constant cycle of eating out and grabbing drinks 2-3 nights a week. This can get unhealthy and some singles complain that it’s hard not to gain weight. HealthyOut and Healthy Dining Finder are apps that locate healthy restaurants in your area, so you can order good-for-you food on date night!

  1. Making Conversation

Singles tell me it’s hard to think of topics for the first few dates. An app called Dating Ice Breakers suggests topics for conversations while dating. Once you’ve been dating for a while, the Love Map app asks questions so you can guess your partner’s answer. You can also get to know each other’s deepest thoughts with IceBreak – an app to help couples communicate by revealing themselves to each other.

  1. Practice Makes Perfect

Anything in life takes practice, including dating. Another app lets you practice mini dates online with people, so you gain valuable experience: Speed Date allows users to interact with more than 17 million users to have 5-minute dates with new people. Maybe that’s a good practice forum before you use the JDate app to meet people in person. Consider it a trial run.

  1. Make a Getaway

If you feel really uncomfortable with your date and need to escape (which should only be used if they are a complete jerk), there’s an app called Date Escape that places fake texts and calls to your phone, so you have an excuse to leave. (Use this wisely as you would not want this done to you).

  1. Learn to Be Romantic

Date Smart is an app that gives dating suggestions, romantic ideas and has a built-in GPS to suggest date locations near you! Also, most women (and even some men) like flowers so you can surprise her with posies using the Mobile Florist app. Instant Poetry is an app where you can write a poem on your own picture background and email your creation.  Pic Collage is an app that allows you to surprise your sweetie with a romantic scrapbook of all your memories you’ve created together. Lastly, AG Wine Guide will help you to choose the best wine on your date.

  1. Go Deeper

It’s important to learn your date’s preferences and love needs. The Kahnoodle app helps you rank each other’s love needs. You can check back in to see how well you know each other by playing The i-Newlywed Quiz app, which allows partners to guess each other’s preferences.

  1. Be Thoughtful

It’s important to rememberher birthday or the day of his major presentation. Reminder is an app to help you remember important dates and occasions in your partner’s life!
