In preparation for Passover, it’s time to bust out your Haggadah. If you don’t have one handy, JDate is here to help you out. The PDF below is a simple and straightforward Haggadah that any Jew can use for their Passover gathering.

Need a little refresher on this Jewish text? We’ve got you covered:

  • Pronunciation: Hah-Gah-Dah
  • Meaning: In Hebrew “Haggadah” means “telling.”
  • Purpose: The Haggadah allows us to share the story of Passover with our family. Telling the story of the liberation of the Jews from Egypt by the hand of God is fact one of the 613 Mitzvoth that Jews are obligated to observe. It’s also mentioned in the Torah: “And thou shalt tell thy son in that day, saying: It is because of that which the LORD did for me when I came forth out of Egypt.” (Exodus 13:8)

Now, as Passover is around the corner, it’s time to make sure you have your Haggadah ready to go for the Seder. Buckle up for some questions, some matzah and some laughs. It’s going to be quite the story.
