Aliza and Seth met on JDate in Atlanta almost two years ago.  Due to the very different social circles that they had traveled in, it would be safe to say that Aliza and Seth would not have met without JDate.

They emailed back and forth for about a week before deciding to meet in person for breakfast and coffee. They had a few dinner dates after that, each time getting to know each
other better and liking what they saw in the other person more and more.  They soon found themselves spending more and more time together, including trips to meet each other’s families in Las Vegas and Ft. Lauderdale.

After asking Aliza’s parents for their blessing and permission to marry their daughter, Seth had their parents fly into Atlanta on October 15, 2011.  At the lake at Lullwater Park on the Emory campus, Seth asked Aliza to marry him, and thankfully, she said yes.  Unbeknownst to Aliza, their parents were able to watch the proposal from the other side of the
lake.

Aliza and Seth look forward to being married by Aliza’s father, Rabbi Norman Lipson, at his synagogue, Temple Dor Dorim, in Weston, Florida, on May 12, 2012.
