This is the day I get to say “I do” to the absolute man of my dreams, and I owe it all to JDate.

Josh and I met in Columbus, Ohio last summer after he sent me a JDate message and we corresponded back and forth for a week or so. On a Monday after work he called me to ask me to dinner that week. Being nervous about finally meeting him and getting back into dating again, I agreed to meet for coffee. I anxiously waited for Friday all week and didn’t know whether I was more nervous or excited.

We met on July 12, 2013 at a Starbucks near my work. I’ll never forget the moment I saw him… while waiting in line for my hot chocolate, he tapped me on the shoulder and I turned around to see him for the first time. He smiled at me and was so handsome, my heart and stomach dropped. Our time together was natural, easy and flowing. Conversation was great and commonalities about our lives and our interests became something we immediately bonded over. I felt like I had always known him. I saw Josh again the next day for breakfast and we spent the entire day together.

After that weekend things progressed seamlessly. We continued to learn about each other, built a relationship, met each other’s families, and were soon living together in Cincinnati. On July 22, 2014, after a year of traveling, growing, and lots of laughter, Josh asked me to marry him. It was my 27th birthday. It’s another one of those moments that I will remember vividly for the rest of my life, just like the first time I saw him.

Thanks to JDate, I’ve found my best friend and the man I know I am meant to be with. All of the events that led me to him, all of the lessons learned, and all of the experiences still couldn’t have brought us together without that first message in my inbox. I am so grateful to JDate for helping me find a nice, Jewish boy from Dayton, Ohio who is everything I ever could have dreamed of in a partner and more.
