We met on JDate in December of 2012 when we both individually decided we were ready for a real relationship. David, a born and raised American, messaged me, a Canadian-Israeli, and after a couple of messages back and forth, he asked me out on a date. We met at a bar and instantly connected over chalk figures and gospel music (we both love the movie Sister Act).

After approximately four months of dating, we had our very own version of My Big Fat (Jewish) Wedding, where David (who comes from a small, yet warm and lovely family) was introduced to my huge Moroccan/Canadian/Israeli family with 42 first cousins. The rest is history. David supported me while I was finishing residency in the Bronx and I supported him through a new job and finishing his MBA.

On the first night of Passover 2014, we announced our engagement and have continued to live blissfully in love ever since. We already celebrated our engagement in Montreal and are currently planning our Israel and NYC weddings. We are so grateful to JDate for bringing us together.
