Lori and Alex informally “met” on May 17, 2010 through JDate.com’s chat feature. As Lori searched on JDate for her perfect match, she came across Alex’s headshot and limited profile. She decided to Instant Message him. Little did she know, she was chatting with her future husband!

Lori and Alex chatted for a bit and then exchanged email addresses to plan a meeting (Lori saved every email between them). They decided to meet on May 19, 2010 at Starbucks at the Promenade, a destination halfway between Coral Springs and Boca Raton. The night they met, it was pouring rain.  Lori called Alex for the first time to let him know she may be a few minutes late due to the weather.  It must have been a sign because Lori and Alex pulled in at the same time, and parked right next to each other, not knowing what car the other drove. Coincidence! They spent several hours chatting and getting to know each other, and even planned a future date later in the week.

Alex proposed to Lori in February of 2013. They are now busy planning their June 2014 wedding!
