How did you meet? What was your first date like? Give us all the details!
We knew right away it was meant to be. We didn’t know just how similar our last names were (Lavner and Laufer) when we clicked on each other’s profile. When JDate deemed “MakeLifeBetterTogether” and “Steve444” a 100% match, we each decided to give dating one more try!
Describe the moment you knew it was true love!
We met on 39th Street and 6th Avenue. Steve was shocked that I looked like my profile. I was excited that Steve was a redhead. We walked north to 49th Street between 8th and 9th Avenue to Le Rivage, a French Place on Restaurant Row. We ate and talked for over two hours – not one awkward moment!
Since dinner went so well, Steve invited me to listen to him play music at Gabby O’Hara’s. After four hours of music playing, we decided to dine again, this time at a diner for burgers. We were surprised when we noticed it was suddenly 3:30 am, and we reluctantly said goodnight. We’ve been inseparable ever since. Steve proposed in Washington Square Park, in front of the fountain. Although I knew it was inevitable, I was completely surprised when the time came.
